Privacy Policy
Effective August 16, 2026
SpeedFill is a Chrome extension built to be private by design. It has no account, and it never sends your information anywhere.
Data we collect
None. SpeedFill has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The extension makes no network requests at all, so nothing you save can reach us or anyone else. We have no servers involved in running it.
Data stored on your device
SpeedFill saves the following in your own browser, using Chrome's local extension storage:
- The text snippets and folders you create.
- The form details you enter, which may include your name, address, email address and phone number.
- Your settings, such as your keyboard shortcut preference.
- A note of how individual websites name their form fields, recorded only when you use the button that teaches SpeedFill a field.
This is stored locally and is not synced between your devices, backed up by us, or shared with anyone.
Access to web pages
SpeedFill asks for permission to run on all websites. This is necessary because it puts text into the field you have focused and fills form fields on whatever page you happen to be using, and it cannot know in advance which sites those will be.
It reads or changes page content only in response to something you do: clicking an item in the panel, pressing a keyboard shortcut you have assigned, or pressing the button that teaches a field. It does not monitor your browsing, does not read pages at any other time, and does not send page content anywhere.
What SpeedFill will not do
- Form filling never writes to password fields.
- SpeedFill never submits a form for you. You always press the button yourself.
- Filling only writes to text boxes that are empty, so it cannot overwrite something you have already typed. Dropdown menus are an exception, because a menu always has something selected.
- A saved snippet only ever goes into the field you have focused and chosen to insert it into.
Clipboard
SpeedFill can start a new snippet from whatever you last copied. Your clipboard is read only at the moment you press that button, never in the background. If you click a snippet when no text field is focused, or on a page Chrome does not allow extensions to change, the text is copied to your clipboard instead so the action does not fail silently.
Keeping and deleting your data
Everything above stays in your browser for as long as you keep the extension. You can edit or delete any saved item from inside the panel at any time, and removing SpeedFill from Chrome deletes everything it has stored. Because we never receive any of it, there is nothing for us to retain, nothing to request a copy of, and nothing you need to ask us to delete. There is no consent to revoke, because we never collect anything that would require it.
Security and what to store
Your information is held in Chrome's standard extension storage and is not separately encrypted. Anyone with access to your computer and your Chrome profile could read it. Treat SpeedFill the way you would a notes app: it is the right place for your name, address and contact details, and the wrong place for passwords, payment card numbers, or anything else you would not write on a sticky note.
Children
SpeedFill is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children. Because we collect no data at all, we collect none from children either. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. Parents with questions can contact us at support@itotallyneedthat.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Terms of Use
Effective August 16, 2026
SpeedFill is provided by I Totally Need That LLC ("we", "us").
License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use SpeedFill in Chrome on devices that you own or control. Distribution through the Chrome Web Store is also subject to Google's Chrome Web Store Terms of Service.
Price
SpeedFill is free. Every feature is included, there is no paid tier, and there are no in-extension purchases or subscriptions.
Availability
We may update, change or stop offering SpeedFill at any time, and Chrome itself may change in ways that affect how it works. Because everything you save is stored in your own browser rather than by us, your data is not affected by anything we do at our end — but you should not rely on the extension remaining available indefinitely.
Your content
The snippets and details you save are yours. They stay on your device and we never receive them, so we claim no rights over them and take no responsibility for their contents.
Acceptable use
Use SpeedFill only to enter information you are entitled to enter, on forms you are entitled to complete. You are responsible for what you submit, since SpeedFill only ever fills fields and never submits anything on your behalf.
Websites you use it on
SpeedFill works on websites we have nothing to do with. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not ours, and we are not responsible for them, for what they do with information you enter, or for the consequences of any form you submit.
No warranty
SpeedFill is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Websites vary enormously, and we do not guarantee that every field on every form will be recognised, or that a field will always be filled with the value you intended. Check what has been filled before you submit anything.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the extension — including anything that follows from a field being filled incorrectly, left unfilled, or filled with the wrong value. Since SpeedFill is free, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance.
